Richard is a Traction and Rolling Stock Engineer with almost 30 years’ experience in the Rail industry specialising in maintenance and reliability projects. His experience includes but is not limited to commissioning new fleets, major reliability and maintenance/overhaul improvement projects.
During his career, he has held team leader, project & reliability engineer, management and director positions and also has experience of heading an overseas project.
Richard has gained experience in delivering work packages that meet all the requirements of Rail Industry Standards certification requirements.
Outside of work Richard enjoys walking in the countryside and holidays with the family.
Allan is a qualified Engineering Director with over 28 years’ experience within the railway industry. The vast majority of time has been spent within a maintenance & overhaul environment in roles which included technician, team leader and project engineer. He has a proven ability to work under his own initiative to achieve business goals supported by sound engineering competencies.
Involved with the Fleet Acceptance, commissioning, testing and maintenance of new Diesel & Electric rolling stock introductions in Germany & the UK. This included visits to sites involved with the construction of vehicles and components across Europe. Allan is approved as a Technical Assessor for the RSSB RISAS scheme.
Outside of work, Allan is a volunteer for the Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
Simon is a qualified and Incorporated Engineer who has worked in both the Aerospace and Rail industry for 16 years. He has varied experience in multiple fields such as, Lead Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Manager, New Product Introduction Engineer & Application Engineer.
Simon has specialised knowledge in bearing design and manufacture and has specialised in plain bearings, which has taken him across Europe, India and Russia.
During his career he has proven experience within Lean 6 Sigma, continuous improvement methodology and implementation. He has a drive to never just accept the status quo and always look for positive improvements.
Outside of work, Simon enjoys spending time with his family and volunteers as a Parish Councillor to help his local community.
Andy Joined T&RS Engineering as a Project Support Engineer following his career within the Steel Industry, where he gained 7 years’ experience as a Fleet Engineer for internal rolling stock.
Andy is currently working towards Incorporated Engineer status with the Engineering Council. He is self-motivated and committed to his work. He has a sound engineering background and experience with various project management platforms to successfully deliver projects. Andy also has significant management experience and has implemented various continuous improvement tools/projects to increase efficiency within the workplace.
Jen's background prior to joining T&RS Engineering was within business administration within both private and public businesses.
Jen is responsible for all aspects of the business finance & administration including ensuring our company finances are in order, managing invoicing, paying the wages and the payment of travel expenses and bills.
David’s current position as T&RS Engineering’s Quality and Assurance Engineer is enhanced by the supporting roles as an RSSB RISAB Technical Expert, ISO9001:2015 Lead Auditor, NoBo Maintenance Assessor, CCB Maintenance Scrutiny Engineer, Certification Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Systems Engineer and component assessor. David is also registered as an IRCA Lead Auditor.
David has spent the last 30 years within the railway transportation industry, the vast majority of time has been spent within a Maintenance CCB/NoBo/RISAB environment. Specifically, over the past 18 years, he has gained broad experience in component condition assessment, condition monitoring in support of maintenance and overhaul optimisation exercises. His assessment skills have also been enhanced by being engaged in both numerous supplier maintenance product audits in conjunction with his role as a RISAS Technical Expert.
David is also a computer literate Electrical Design Engineer, conversant with schematic, wiring harness, cable installation and termination techniques, using CAD.
James is a flexible, multi-skilled engineer with 10 years’ experience in the railway industry having a wide variety of responsibilities and experience on various fleets and technologies. A member of the Society of Operations Engineers, and has recently gained Incorporated Engineer status with the Engineering Council. James has significant experience of rail vehicle Commissioning, testing and component inspections.
Luke is an Electronics Engineer with an active and dynamic approach to work coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills. All engineering experience to date has been acquired in the Railway Industry.
Luke is dedicated to developing his engineering competence and professional capability. His organised and methodical approach will be key to the development of new skills, which will be utilised in Audits and Maintenance Optimisation projects. With great interpersonal skills, he is an excellent team worker capable of working closely with clients and industry bodies.
Luke is ideally suited to delivering complex projects in a technical environment and managing quality and project constraints.
